5 Hours - $350
Starting our tour in downtown Charlottetown, we will see some of the sights of Prince Edward Island's historic capital city before heading to eastern PEI, where you will be able to explore several Island lighthouses.
First we will arrive at Point Prim Lighthouse, which overlooks the Northumberland Strait. This is one of few brick lighthouses, and it was built in 1846.
Next, we will visit Wood Islands Lighthouse. From its 54 ft tower, you will be able to get a spectacular 360-degree view of the picturesque coastline, ferry terminal, and a working fishing port. The 124 year old PEI Lighthouses interpretive center is located here, and you will have the opportunity to explore this as well.
On the way to our next destination, you will see many different landscapes: coastal cliffs and beaches, forests, farms, rivers, and of course, the sea. Learn about Prince Edward Island's main industries : agriculture, fisheries, and tourism, as well as its history.
We will continue on to the Rossignol Estates Winery: Prince Edward Island's only eastern winery, vineyard and art gallery which boasts a gorgeous panoramic view of the Northumberland Strait. Here, you can sample fine local vintages.
Our next stop is Panmure Island Lighthouse: one of the Island's most picturesque lighthouses. Constructed in November 1853, it is the oldest wooden lighthouse on the Island.
On our way back to Charlottetown, we will take a scenic drive through the town of Montague before ending our tour.
